Dismissal Policy
Summit’s Dismissal Policy refers to a strict approach to certain behaviors or actions that are
considered unacceptable while being associated with Summit Athletix. We are committed to
upholding an outstanding, safe, respectful, and productive atmosphere for all athletes and families.
Depending on the severity of the issue, the athlete or family maybe put on probation.
However, Summit Athletix reserves the right to remove any athlete or family from the program due
to the following circumstances or actions.
Alcohol / Drug Use: Underage athletes are not permitted to use alcohol or drugs in or out of the
Summit environment. Attending practice under the influence will be IMMEDIATE grounds for
dismissal.
Harassment and Bullying: Harassment or Bullying will not be tolerated. This includes both
physical and verbal abuse and can encompass behaviors like name-calling, teasing, or any
actions that create a hostile or unsafe environment. This also includes cyber-bullying and
harassment.
Negative Talk and Gossip: Negative talk and gossiping about other team members, other
programs, or Summit Athletix staff is NOT acceptable. This includes text messages and social
media messaging. Our kids hear more than we think they do!
Disruptive Behavior: Constantly disruptive or disrespectful behavior to coaches, staff or
teammates that negatively affects the training environment.
Safety Violations: Safety is of utmost importance. Any action that jeopardizes the safety of
athletes, staff or families, to include ignoring safety rules, using equipment improperly, or
purposefully failing to report safety concerns is not permitted.
Social Media Violations: Failure to adhere to the social media policy or to remove posts that
violate the policy.
